Unit plans allow teachers the ability to integrate science throughout the curriculum.  Integrated teaching and learning combines curriculum from two or more disciplines, allowing students to see how concepts and ideas are connected. Teaching in such a contextual manner provides students opportunities to master content and gain expertise by practicing the 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. In integrated curriculum, students explore real-world problems and challenges, and maximize learning when they are actively experiencing and producing.
